Breakaway story
The first draft for the song started out in Mike’s home studio. Eventually drummer Nicka joined – and this two-piece band was formed.
With Nicka onboard real drums was recorded at Sandkvie studios, visby, by the one and only Micke Lyander.
After the drum track was done, Mike did some guitar and bass re-takes, and got his vocals in place, assisted by recording engineer Patrik Ohlsson, Musicano studio.
With everything in place, we needed a great mixing expert. No one could be a better choice than our good friend Stefan Helleblad at Big Hat studio. Since Stefan is a well-known guitar hero we also made him record some additional heavy guitar riffs.
After a great mixing and mastering session, the song was ready to see the light.
Finally, we got some serious expertise help from Johan Magnusson (web) and Johnny Andersson (motion design).
